I take so many photos, literally probably thousands a year. It’s important to me, the memories they hold. Seemingly boring pictures become treasured as time passes.

I’m going to post one picture every day for 2022. On here and my Instagram page. At the end if I manage every day I’ll do a video montage.

Day 1 – January 1st, 2022

This is Loki, the little kitten we found last year living under a container. She’ll be around 8 or 9 months now. Today we took down our Christmas tree and I put our glass ornaments in this box. Loki decided it would be a comfortable place to sleep, far more comfortable than her padded cozy bed next to the box.

Day 2 – January 2nd, 2022

Today was lovely, mild and sunny and the perfect day to go fossil hunting on our local beach. There was a cold wind but down on the beach we couldn’t really feel it. Its hard to believe its the middle of winter right now with our recent temperatures. We came across a partially buried part of a skeleton from the sperm whales which washed up on the beach at Christmas 2020. Very sad. We didn’t find any fossils though sadly.

Day 3 – January 3rd, 2022

Treat myself to my nails done today before I head back to work to inevitably catch my 3rd round of covid on Wednesday.

Day 4 – January 4th, 2022

Today’s picture was my captain America pancakes made ready for schools returning tomorrow. Its my effort to make mornings somewhat easier. It won’t last but I tried.

Day 5 – January 5th, 2022

I didn’t take a single photo today. Its unlike my but it happens from time to time.

Day 6 – January 6th, 2022

This is Toby, my smallest human. He cannot smile for a photo yet has a beautiful natural smile. This and another one like it are pretty much the only photos I took today.

Day 7 – January 7th, 2022

My pride of today is my Skellig door at school which is going to be our class book. I don’t get many opportunities to do displays so this was enjoyable and turned out OK I think.

Day 8 – January 8th, 2022

Our husky, Star, is currently moulting. I spent 10 mins brushing one side of her this afternoon before she got fed up and ran off. This was the result.

Day 9 – January 9th, 2022

One of my favourite things about living on the coast is walks along the prom with my smallest human. Even in winter.

Day 10 – January 10th, 2022

Toby saw the sunset colours in the sky tonight and was desperate to take a photo on my phone. I think he did an amazing job.

Today we had lots of tears and upset as we realised Loki had gone missing. Someone had accidentally let her out. We found her after it had got dark purely by chance and Kaesey was so happy to see her again.

Today I made fakeaway Chinese salt and pepper chicken that I saw on tiktok #mealsbymitch. It was delicious.

Day 15 – January 15th, 2022

Another #mealsbymitch dish today – fakeaway sweet and sour chicken. Went down a treat.

Day 16 – January 16th, 2022

I know its not amazing quality or anything but still pretty damn impressed with my photo of the moon taken on my Samsung Galaxy s21.

Day 17 – January 17th 2022

Loki enjoyed her first meal since being found last week. She has obviously struggled with her first season bless her.

There’s so many pics I could’ve chosen for today. Zak turned 15 today and was desperate for a vr headset which we got him. We then went to Birstall IKEA and had meatballs, it snowed heavily and we finished the day with pizza hut. It’s been a lovely day.

It’s a work in progress really as we need more boards but loving how Tobys nerf gun storage is coming along.

Day 52 – February 21st 2022

This was my favourite picture from today. Toby and Loki both sparko on top of me in bed so I couldn’t move. It’s half term so there’s no rush for us to move in the morning so I just lay and enjoy the moment.

Toby changed Sam’s tub of savings today and was very excited by all the paper money he came away with.
